Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AbbaCom (“AbbaCom,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with its internal projects app and the AbbaCom Project Notifications SMS program. The SMS program is internal only: it sends work notifications to AbbaCom employees and is never used to text customers or the public.

Information we collect

• Name of the employee.
• Mobile phone number provided by the employee for work notifications.
• Consent records: the date, time, and method of SMS opt-in (consent form or texting START), and any opt-out (STOP), opt-in (START), or HELP requests.
• Message logs: the content, time, and delivery status of notification messages sent through our messaging provider.

How we use information

We use this information only to send internal work notifications to AbbaCom employees (such as job and task assignments, schedule changes, and reminders about open tasks), to honor opt-out and help requests, and to keep the consent records required by carrier rules. We do not use it for marketing or promotional messages.

SMS and mobile information

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We share mobile numbers and message content only with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf (for example, Twilio), and only as needed to deliver those messages. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We keep employee contact information, consent records, and message logs for as long as the person is employed by AbbaCom, plus 1 year, and keep consent and opt-out records as long as needed to show compliance with messaging rules. An employee may ask us to delete their mobile number at any time, which also stops text messages.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, such as access controls and limiting access to authorized AbbaCom personnel, to protect this information. No system is completely secure.

• Who receives messages: AbbaCom employees only. Messages are sent from AbbaCom’s internal projects app and are never sent to customers or the public.
• What you receive: internal work notifications, such as job and task assignments, schedule changes, and reminders about open tasks. No marketing.
• How to opt in: by written or electronic consent on the AbbaCom Employee SMS Consent form, at hire or at any time (the consent checkbox is unchecked by default; you must check it yourself), or by texting START to the AbbaCom number, +1 385-333-3630.
• Consent is optional and is not a condition of employment, pay, or work.
• Message frequency varies based on project activity.
• Msg & data rates may apply.
• Opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again (for example, by replying START).
• Help: reply HELP to any message, or contact us at 801-280-2171 or Abbacom@abbacom.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Employee SMS Consent

AbbaCom employees opt in to AbbaCom Project Notifications in either of two ways: (1) by signing the written or electronic AbbaCom Employee SMS Consent form below, at hire or at any time, or (2) by texting START to the AbbaCom number, +1 385-333-3630, which replies with a confirmation message containing the same disclosures. The form’s checkbox is unchecked by default, is separate from any other agreement, and is optional.
